As we prepare for a phased reopening of the State of Washington, we have made updates based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies.
It may be different from the last time you visited. But together, we can find new ways to share our stories and continue the memories that you have always come to expect from the Lakewood Playhouse.
Lakewood Playhouse will reopen with some important updates to promote:
Temporary adjustments will be in place to promote physical distancing.
Physical distancing measures may include:
Patrons that arrive together will be encouraged to sit with one another and be asked to place three seats between themselves and other groups. We are also having our Guests seat with one row between them. Some rows will be unavailable for seating to maintain this social distancing.
Signage and Ground Markings:
Please follow directional signage and ground markings, which have been installed throughout the Lakewood Playhouse to help our Patrons better navigate common areas while practicing physical distancing.
Physical barriers have been added in select places where it is difficult to maintain strict physical distancing guidelines. These may be visible in areas around Box Office and Concessions, for example, to help promote proper distances between people.
We are also training Staff to engage with Patrons and promote physical distancing guidelines in common areas and queues.
Cleaning procedures will be enhanced throughout the Lakewood Playhouse. We are proud to have teamed up with Seattle-based CleanStart Commercial Cleaning to “Welcome You Back Home.” We would truly like to thank CleanStart for donating their services in the deep cleaning of the Lakewood Playhouse prior to our reopening. They will also be maintaining our theatre, on a weekly basis, at a greatly reduced cost to our non-profit organization.
We are extremely grateful to our family at CleanStart and are proud to include them among our Community Partners. We encourage you to visit their website at https://thecleanstart.com/
Extra attention will be given, between performances, to high-traffic areas, including restrooms, theatre seating, tables, handrails, handles, and more.
A FEW THINGS
YOU SHOULD KNOW
Here are the top things to know as you prepare to visit.
Upon arrival at Lakewood Playhouse you may undergo a temperature screening with no-touch thermometers.
Based on guidance from health authorities, anyone displaying with a temperature of 100.4 F or above will not be allowed entry; those in their party will not be allowed entry either.
Before you leave home, be sure to check the temperatures of everyone in your party—including yourself—as an extra layer of precaution.
Face coverings are required for all Patrons ages five and up as well as Staff. Barriers will be in place between our audience and our actors. This will be adjusted in accordance with any changes to CDC and State Guidelines. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when briefly eating concessions.
All face coverings should:
Fully cover an individual’s nose and mouth and allow the Patrons to remain hands-free
Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
Be secured with ties or ear loops
The use of face coverings is not a substitute for physical distancing.
Experiences may be modified to reduce contact. These include:
At this time, it is recommended all Patrons use cashless payment options, including debit cards and credit cards.
We have taken enhanced health and safety measures—for you, our other Patrons, Staff and Cast Members. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting the Lakewood Playhouse.
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable and are encouraged to stay home.
By visiting Lakewood Playhouse you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
Help keep each other healthy.
