As we prepare for our IN PERSON Season 83 (2021/2022), we will make updates based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Washington State Department of Health (DOH), and appropriate government agencies.

Physical distancingTemporary adjustments will be in place to promote physical distancing measures which may include:
Seating: Patrons that arrive together will be encouraged to sit with one another and be asked to place three seats between themselves and other groups. We are also having our guests seat with one row between them. Some rows will be unavailable for seating to maintain this physical distancing. Signage and Ground Markings: Please follow directional signage and ground markings, which have been installed throughout the Lakewood Playhouse to help our Patrons better navigate common areas while practicing physical distancing. Physical Barriers: Physical barriers have been added in select places where it is difficult to maintain strict physical distancing guidelines. These may be visible in areas around Box Office and concessions, for example, to help promote proper distances between people. Training: We are also training staff to engage with patrons and promote physical distancing guidelines in common areas and queues. |
Enhanced CleaningCleaning procedures will be enhanced throughout the Lakewood Playhouse. We are proud to have teamed up with Seattle-based CleanStart Commercial Cleaning who gave the seats and theatre a fantastic deep clean while we were closed. They will also be maintaining our theatre, on a weekly basis once we reopen.
We are extremely grateful to our friends at CleanStart and are proud to include them among our Community Partners. We encourage you to visit their website at https://thecleanstart.com/ |
FACE COVERINGS RequiredFace coverings are required for all patrons ages five and up as well as staff. This will be adjusted in accordance with any changes to CDC and state guidelines. Please bring your own face coverings* and wear them at all times, except when briefly eating concessions once those are available.

Based on guidance from health authorities, anyone displaying with a temperature of 100.4 F or above will not be allowed entry; those in their party will not be allowed entry either. Before you leave home, be sure to check the temperatures of everyone in your party—including yourself—as an extra layer of precaution. |
COVID-19 Warning
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable and are encouraged to stay home until fully vaccinated and after the required wait period for it to take effect.
By visiting Lakewood Playhouse you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
We have taken enhanced health and safety measures—for you, our patrons, volunteers, staff, and the artists we work with. For the health and well-being of all, please follow all posted instructions while visiting the Lakewood Playhouse.
