MISSION STATEMENT
Lakewood Playhouse, the cultural heart of our diverse community, creates engaging and entertaining theatre celebrating the human experience through the stories [that] we tell.
HISTORY
Lakewood Playhouse was founded in 1938. They currently have a 180-seat theatre in the Seattle metropolitan area, at the Lakewood Towne Center.

Notable performances includes their January 2007 free staged reading of David Hare's controversial political commentary, Stuff Happens, with a cast of twelve actors; the original production, in London in 2004, had sixty actors. Also, in Spring of 2009, Lakewood Playhouse performed Once in a Lifetime by Kaufmann and Hart, directed by Marcus Walker.

The Artistic Director for Lakewood Playhouse was Marcus Walker (2001-2011), the current Business Director is Karen Christensen, the Education Director is Maggie Knott and the Producing Director is James Venturini.
